01 / OUR FOCUS

From technical possibility
to commercial relevance.

A promising technology is a starting point. Its value depends on the problem it solves.

Space NEO explores how aerospace and space technologies—including applications of artificial intelligence and advanced materials—can address commercially relevant problems.

Our work centres on opportunity assessment, commercial planning and the development of relevant partnerships.

01

Understand the need

Start with the customer, the operating environment and the practical problem. Establish why a new capability would matter.

02

Examine the opportunity

Consider technical dependencies, commercial assumptions and the path from a research idea to a useful application.

03

Develop the right relationships

Bring research, technology and commercial perspectives into the same conversation, with clear expectations and disciplined governance.

02 / A FOUNDER’S PERSPECTIVE

We do not have
to wait for the brink.

Concern about orbital debris led Paul McGillvery to establish Space NEO in 2024. The question behind the venture remains simple: how can we develop the opportunities ahead while taking responsibility for the environment in which we operate?

Conversations with astronauts Michael Baker and Carl Walz helped shape Paul’s thinking about the human responsibility behind the technology.

Space NEO is a developing venture. We are building its direction around a clear commercial case, responsible decision-making and conversations with people doing relevant work.
